Fathers Day on the Farm

After the wedding, we were all together as a family so we finished the weekend with a relaxing Father's Day together.  It was so great to be with cousins and especially enjoy the slowed down pace of the farm.

Notice we stayed in our PJ's most of the day!

Mady and Luke taking a ride!  I loved that she was driving him and he didn't mind:)

Layton drove the tractor,

while he also drove the golf cart too!  (under Daddy's supervision!)

And we took the day in stride with swings on the front porch,

and mid-day nap with Mimi and Pops,

followed by a trip to the field where we all helped feed the horses!

Layton, Luke and Mady all took turns giving Apollo a treat

and then it was time for a fun Father's Day ride.

We rode back on the farm, since there are 280 acres to choose from, we roamed until dusk,

with smiles on our faces.

I think this boy is country at heart!

Luke decided to try on Daddy's shoes.

He definitely has big shoes to fill as he grows...praying that he will one day become the man his father and grandfathers are today.  I couldn't think of any more dedicated, loving, Godly men than Blake, Dad and Don.  My boys have the greatest examples of men who love the Lord and love their families.

Our Fathers Day pictures were not posed this year, yet I believe that these pictures sum up the love in a fathers' eyes.

Complete joy!

Grateful for all the fathers in our lives.

Thanks to the fathers (my Dad and Blakes Dad) who have invested in my life/Blake's life in paving the way.

The ones today that guide, lead and love....and the ones that left us a legacy.
