Discovering

his hands!

Luke has discovered his hands and fingers...

They are great pacifiers...well at least, for a few minutes.

But then he moves his hands and flashes a great big SMILE!

Luke {6 weeks}

6 weeks marks another milestone for Lukey Bear. Besides wearing his first monogrammed outfit, he ROLLED OVER during tummy time! I could hardly believe my eyes! He was so mad about being on his belly, he kicked and kicked, eventually rolling himself over! :)

And I actually got it on camera....

I love the expression in his face in this picture.
It's like he is saying, "OH! Did I really do that?"

Way to go, Lukey!

Twins Turn Three!

Two of Layton's best buddies, Luke and Jackson, celebrated their 3rd birthday!
It was a Cars themed party...very cute! We enjoyed seeing friends and watching the kids play! :)

I love this picture of me and Christina w/ our boys. Hard to believe that Luke and Tom will be in the same grade in school when there is so much difference right now, 8 months & 6 weeks.
It won't be long until they will be running around and playing together. Can't wait!

Aunts

Today was a very special day.

Layton and Luke got to meet two of their Aunts.

A Great Aunt, and a Great Great Great Aunt.

Great Great Great Aunt
Joy and I decided to make a trip to Mt. Washington to visit Katherine, who is 84. I was excited because the boys and I have not been out of the house much lately. A road trip sounded wonderful.

When we arrived she greeted us with a big smile and a warm hug. She cooked a four course meal...salad, bread, roast and potatoes, corn, green beans, apples, and TWO pies! Yes, all by herself, quite amazing! She then got to meet her Great Great Great Nephews and was overjoyed!Smiling at Miss Katherine.

Katherine is a jewel.
I feel so blessed that I was able to meet her and spend quality time together.

Layton entertained himself while we were there.
She has great grandsons so there were plenty of toys, including a drum set.
He loved it. And then he decided to conduct. Either way, he had a blast!
Great Great Aunt
On the way home, we decided to visit my Aunt Paulette, who also lives in Mt. Washington.
My cousin, Kevin, came by to see us too!

Layton warmed up immediately.
They had a toy room too.
But the most fun was the playdough party...Paulette and Layton played and played.

It made my heart feel so good to be with them again.
I missed them so.
We must make it a priority to get together more often, no matter the circumstances.
