Say, "Ahh!"

Layton's first dentist appointment went fabulous! I have to admit, I think I was more nervous than he was. I just had no idea how he would react? Would he cooperate, be scared, cry, reach for me, squirm, or kick? He usually is very calm about things, but the dentists' chair can be intimidating.

We arrived and met my friend Cindy, who is a dental hygienist. She was great with him! They talked and she explained what all the instruments were and what she was going to do. She also started a movie for a him to watch, which he loved! She put his bib on, laid him back and HE NEVER MOVED A MUSCLE! He was the perfect patient! ;) I was so relieved and proud.

She cleaned his teeth and checked for cavities.  The dentist came in a few minutes later and said that everything looked PERFECT! He had all 20 teeth and they were healthy! :) Brushing hasn't always been easy, but it pays off! 

Layton brushes his own teeth and does a pretty good job! Except Mommy seems to always want to go over everything....one more time!!

Yeah for a successful first trip to the dentist!
