Debriefing

About a month after returning from my mission trip, the tradition is to "debrief" with your team. I decided to open up my home and we could cook-out along with our spouses to talk about our experiences.

We also had a few cuties, named Hudson and Lylah who came too!

We had an amazing time reliving so many funny moments and shedding a few tears at the moments we will never forget.

It felt so good to be back together.  When you spend 9 days with the same people....you become like family - pretty quickly (just ask Dwan, who had to become my Momma for about an hour  - thanks again, girl! :).

And there were several times during our night together, if I closed my eyes; I would have sworn we were back in the place we all love so much......

that we have become so fond of, so far away.

The place were goofy met Godly....

and I'm so thankful to have shared them all with my sweet team & my new friends.

As we all stepped out of our comfort zones to serve in an a far away place, it affords you the opportunity to become instant friends.  But more than that, we share something that only we can understand.  Only we have seen, only we have heard.  And although, we come home to share with others...no one truly knows until they have gone and experienced it for themselves.  That's what makes it a special, special friendship.

Here's to many more debriefings, which in return means many more trips to share about our Mighty Savior!
