A Decade: My Happily Ever After

As a little girl, you dream of one day being a beautiful bride, getting married, having a family and living happily ever after. You envision your wedding gown, the walk down the isle with your father, as your handsome groom awaits your arrival to accept your hand in marriage.

You dream of the first dance, the way you will smile with joy as you begin feel the very first moments of being husband and wife.

You envision how the rice, falling down like snow, will sprinkle your hair as you leave to start your new life.

You dream.  

Then as you become older, your dreams become your prayers.

As a young woman, you pray for the man who will one day become your husband.  A man of honor, a man of excellence, a man of many passions & only one love, but most importantly a man of God.  You begin to pray for him, before you even know his name. Prayers for a man who knows the Lord and would be willing to build a marriage on His strong foundation.  A man who would bring joy, kindness, peace and patience into your home as you become one, grow, and raise children together.  You pray.

And then one day, your dreams become your prayers, and your prayers become your dreams.

Both were answered in a boy named Blake.  

Simply, I was given one of His most perfect gifts, my husband. 

My rock. My one and only.

My happily ever after.
