7 Months

*This is all about Luke's 6 month (July 11-August 11), which should have been posted over 2 weeks ago, so behind, so behind!*

Lucky number 7

This is definitely how we feel about you and how excited we are that you are a sweet SEVEN months old! We are on the downhill slide to one, and we are soaking up every minute of your babyhood. Take your time sweet boy, this is one of Mommy's favorite ages!

At 7 months old,

you prove to be the happiest baby!  You have been a delight since the day you were born...what a treasure you have been and continue to be. Someone said to me the other day, "I bet he is fun to take pictures of because he is so smiley!" Yes, yes you are!

you weighed 20 lbs 12 oz (90th percentile), and were 28 & 3/4 inches long (95th percentile). Let's just say you are growing very well! :)

you are wearing 12 & 12 -18 month clothes, and size 4 diapers.

you are still exclusively nursing about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. And you are also waking once during the night for a "snack". Your big brother did this as well until ONE, and I can almost guarantee until we stop nursing, you'll keep doing it too. Mommy doesn't mind, in fact, she wakes up waiting for your snack time...it our little routine. 

you have started eating baby food and LOVE it! You eat everything we have tried, which are only veggies and fruits. Right now, your favorites are green beans and bananas! p.s. you make the BIGGEST messes! you clap your hands or blow bubbles and baby food goes everywhere!

you take 2 and 1/2 naps a day.  One morning nap for about 2 hours, an afternoon for about 2 -3 hours, and then a short cap nap in the evening. Bedtime is between 8 and 8:30. 

speaking of clapping, you have mastered it! You are constantly clapping and smiling. You also can clap on demand when asked! It's too sweet! ;)

you are reaching up your hands for people to pick you up. It melts Mommy's heart. I will look down and there you will be...hands up with those beautiful eyes, saying, "Please hold me!" Ahhhh!

you got your FIRST TOOTH on your 7th month birthday!! And since then, you now have two cute pearly whites! Did I mention how cute you look with those little teeth? Well, you are!

...and you have the chubbiest cheeks...I could just kiss them all day!

you are talking/babbling in the sweet little voice, but you are definitely more quiet than your brother (aka - the jabber box!) but you talk when you have things to say, and when you do...you let us know what is on your mind:)

you are getting closer and closer to crawling...but not yet:) You lean over on your hands and your rock back and forth, but fall to your belly. It won't be long. I can't wait to see those chubby legs scooting across the floor.

when you get excited, you flap your arms up and down, sometimes I think you may just fly away! :) You also clasp your hands and wiggle them side to side, I don't know where you learned this, but it sure is sweet!

you spent your first night away from home.  Grammie and Grandaddy babysat so Mommy and Daddy could have a date night! 

you pull up, but only to your knees, you have quite mastered standing on your own. Right now, you sit and play and play! 

you go to most anyone with ease! People are always talking about how easy going you are and how you let everyone give you hugs and kisses, I love this about you.  However, if you are hungry or sleepy, you definitely want your Mommy!

you LOVE taking baths, especially with your big brother. It is one of your favorite parts of the day!
