Ella Marie

My good friend, Cindy, is adopting from Korea and today she received her referral of a precious baby girl!!!!!!  We have all been waiting and praying for this day for months! I am so excited, Ella is so blessed to have amazing Christian parents who can't wait to get her home....soon!  She also has two big brothers waiting to give her lots of hugs and kisses!

But the miracle of Ella has an added bonus....one of those chill bump moments where you SEE the hand of God.

Cindy lost a sweet baby girl, Cambell, at 24 weeks on August 24, 2006.  She was born too early to survive and went to be with Jesus.  They were devastated, yet kept their faith in Him as they carried on without their precious daughter.  The following August after 16 weeks of bed rest, Cindy was blessed with Cambell's baby brother, a little boy named Nolan.  He represented HOPE.

Hope again became the resounding theme as they took steps toward adopting. They felt like the Lord has been walking with them step by step as they journey to their daughter.

Fast forward to today, August 24th 2010.  The fourth birthday of sweet Cambell Grace.  Cindy and I had talked about how amazing it would be if they received their referral on her birthday, but the odds were very, very slim.  BUT GOD DOESN'T DEAL WITH ODDS!  Because around noon, on Cambell's birthday, the phone call came from their agency, saying they had their little girl!  Needless to say there were lots of smiles and lots of tears....as August 24th has come full circle.  Once a day of mourning, has now become a day of celebration.

Miss Ella Marie
(hopefully she will be home by Christmas!)

What a powerful GOD we serve!  His plan is always perfect, even when we question, go through heart break and simply don't understand why...He knows.  He knows.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

I read Cindy's post Sunday night and commented to her that I had never had goose bumps as great as while reading about God's amazing grace. It amazes me at times how God works in such mysterious ways, yet it thrills me to know, at the same time, that His work is perfect.
