Kelley and I have a very sweet mutual friend, even though we live states apart. Our connection began when her little boy, Carter, was diagnosed with food allergies several years ago. Brooke, her cousin/my friend, told me about her blog and I thought I could message her and tell her my experience raising a toddler with allergies. Layton had previously been diagnosed with food allergies the year before, so at the least, I thought we could swap recipes.
Trading recipes turned into sharing tears as we both experienced miscarriages just days apart.
God knew that I needed her in my life during that trial. It was so comforting to have her to talk to, to cry and laugh with, and to remind each other that God's plans are perfect, even when we don't understand the "why?"
Yet, the Lord was faithful and one year later, we both welcomed Luke & Grace into our families!
I have been gazing at her sweet face through a computer screen for so long. Finally, I got to meet Grace face to face.
And what a beauty she was - with a sweet and spunky spirit!
Cindy & Ella also joined us, as she had been inspired by Kelley during her journey of adopting Grace.
All of these babies were answered prayers after trials in each of our of lives.
I feel like this picture represents pure JOY!
