The Home Stretch

So, mid-week we did our "normal" things back at home.

Layton went to school...it was picture day:) I hope he smiled at Miss Michelle really big:)))

Even though Daddy has been missing...there is one thing that hasn't been missing -- hugs and kisses;))

Then it was time to visit the farm with Mimi & Pops....

where it was warm enough for one last swim.....on the last official day of summer.

Needless to say, we have been fed well....ask Luke!

I think you have your answer!!!!

Saying, "Hi!" to Pops at work....

Future Pharmacists in the making......

And then we spent time with their great-grandmother...
who is nothing less than entertaining:))

They played a game with a paper plate -- Layton loved it:))  Isn't it really about the simple things?!?

Luke decided he needed to sweep her floor with the old butter churn :)

Mom  (aka Mimi)

"Look, Lukey....horses and cows!"

oh, and donkeys too!

Boys. Farm. Grandparents. Green grass. Rolling hills.  Blue sky.  Awesome.

"Hey, Apollo!  Come here so I can pet you!"

Time has been slow, which has allowed for...

strolls in the gravel,                                                                                 and rides with Pops...

and quality time that is priceless:)

While I have had 4 extra hands to help with the boys.....I've had time to look at magazines and books! (insert squeal)

Here is a picture I found in Southern Living.  Isn't this beautiful?!  I may have to try it!!

I started this book before we left, and I've enjoyed it more and more this week.  I read Angie's first book ("I Will Carry You") a couple of years ago.  This one is just as good!!

Yep, we are having a buckin' bronco good time!!
Can't you tell?

Praying for Daddy and the team as they go into their last villages today.....this time tomorrow, he will be making his LONG trip home!
