I'm sitting here watching a live plane tracker online.
Why?
Someone I love very much is on that plane, flying across the ocean to a foreign land.
To serve Him.
To love strangers.
To share the Word.
To be the light.
To step out into darkness.
To GO!
After I returned from Greece, my life changed. The Lord began a work in my heart many years ago, but that week.......the Lord burst it wide open. His work came to fruition in a mighty way.
So, when I heard about two teams going to Africa from our church this summer, I
Then, out of the blue...he wanted to talk.
He said that he had been praying and was truly considering going to Africa in the fall. He said, "I've said no too many times, I feel like it's time to say, yes"!
I was excited and overjoyed!
And then a little piece of me began to worry, it stole my joy.
Let's be honest. Leaving is much easier than being left behind. And as I sit here....watching a plane on a computer screen, it's true.
Yet, He is stronger than my worry. He is bigger than my fears. He is MORE. He is EVERYTHING. And I, wholeheartedly, believe exactly that.
Besides, it's not about me. It's about HIM, and how He is going to orchestrate the events of next week to share God's word with people who may.have.never.heard. Blake gets to be a piece of that orchestrated puzzle and that leaves me speechless.
Speechless because on this day, on this week, in this year....
it was his time to say "yes!"
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
