This Stage

I'm really loving this stage of life.  Both of our boys are at much easier ages...going places, doing things, traveling - it is all getting less complicated.

Less stuff to carry around
Less naps to contend with during the day
Less apprehension about baby stages and milestones
Less holding, pushing and packing
Less worry about leaving the room without supervision
Less, Less, Less

And....
We lots of sleep at night in our household.

This stage is very sweet.

Don't get me wrong, my heart still flip flops when I see a newborn baby.  There is nothing like the smell, the sounds and the snuggles with a precious new babe.  But, I'm not ready......just not yet. 

Right now, I love watching Layton and Luke's relationship as brothers grow.  Everyday is not roses, they have their moments, like all brothers, but most of the time.....they really do love each other.

Right now, this stage is pretty sweet.  Trying to soak it all in....and be grateful for His gifts - today.

 

Being mindful to live in the moment, be content and just enjoy this stage of life that the Lord has granted.

Because there will never be another one quite like it.
