2nd Anuual Spring Kickoff

Our 2nd annual "Spring Kickoff" was this weekend. Last year, we decided that March was a great time to getaway with friends to the lake house...winter was almost over and we could celebrate the beginning of spring together. It also gave us something to look forward to in the sometimes gloomy month of March. We played, swam, ate, relaxed, and laughed until our cheeks hurt.

This year, besides Nat and Cindy, our good friends, Daniel and Katy joined us. It was 6 adults, and 6 kids! But it was a weekend to remember!!

All of the kids - 5 boys and 1 sweet little girl (but don't be fooled, she hung with the boys just fine!)

Smile aka "boring pose"
OK, now make a silly face aka "fun pose"
The weekend started with a dinner at Patti's! YUM!

As we were waiting the little boys found things to keep them occupied.
We had to pull them away since the rocks were "mysteriously" being thrown on the floor! :)

Daniel, Katy & baby Moran, Liz and Davis
Nat, Cindy, Nathaniel, and Nolan
Me, Blake and Layton, minus Luke who was asleep in his car seat so we hated to take him out just for a picture!
The night ended with a game of Balderdash that lasted until midnight!
(That is late for all of us! We are so getting old!!)The next day started with the GUYS cooking breakfast! It was delicious! The kids eating their pancakes/waffles, sausage, and fruit! Followed by hanging around in our PJ's, and playing more games. We danced, goofed off and did...well, nothing. It was great!

We went swimming too, but I forgot my camera :(

Liz practicing to be a big sister! Layton and Nolan running to burn off some 2 year old energy!!
Cindy took the little boys on a nature walk and they came back with little yellow flowers for the girls.
Liz looked so pretty with her tucked behind her ear.
Layton was mesmerized by Davis, he followed him everywhere. The funny thing is that he tried to say, "Davis", but kept calling him "Doofus". Layton would say, "Hey, Doofus, let's go play ball!" It was sooo cute! And Davis thought so too!
Daniel and Nat playing chess, it got intense!
What a blessing to have such great friends to share life with!! It will be a joy watching all of our children grow up together.
