Introducing...

 Luke Davidson
January 11, 2010
9 lbs 12 oz
21 inches

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children are a reward from Him." Psalm 127:3

40 weeks pregnant
5:30 am...getting ready to go to the hospital and meet our sweet baby!

Naturally, knowing you are about to have a baby is a exciting and scary time. I had such a great experience with Layton, I was afraid that the second time wouldn't meet my expectiations. I was definitely wrong. If anything, Luke's labor was so much easier, more relaxed, less painful and more enjoyable.

I loved all the doctors and nursing staff, they took great care of me. And they were so excited that we didn't know what we were having. They even asked if a couple of other nurses could be in there for the big moment! After starting my pitocin at 8 am, Dr. Lyons came and broke my water at 1pm since my doctor, Dr. Davis got tied up in a surgery that morning. Once I got my epidural from the greatest CNA in the world, and I slept and woke up around 4 pm. For the next hour, I went from 6 centimeters to 9 in about 45 minutes. With about 10 pushes, Mr. Luke made his arrival into this world.
All the nurses yelled, "It's a BOY!"....
and in the same breath, I remember hearing, "It's a BIG boy!" I began thinking, how big?
Then I heard Dr. Davis say, "I'm guessing close to 10."
I was like, "1o what? pounds? surely not? Layton only weighed 7 lbs!"

*By the way, the surprise was SO worth the wait!
What an amazing moment to see his sweet face and know what he was at the exact same time!*

With a APAGAR of 9 and 10, it just doesn't get much better than that! Praise the Lord!
First time as a family of four, while Layton meets his new baby brother.
Even though he was a little overwhelmed at first, he did say that we could take him home with us! :)
Good thing. Layton and Luke
Kissing my newest baby boy!Proud Papa!
Family of four
Holding Luke for the first time
Layton said, "I want to hold him!" and then 20 seconds later, he said, "Ok, ok, I'm too big."
(I think he meant that Luke was too big!)

Big Brother Layton
Mommy and her boys!

We are settling in wonderfully and giving praises to our Lord for our two beautiful baby boys!

“From the fullness of grace we have received one blessing after another”
John 1:16
