Meet, Greet, Cuddle and Kiss

First week home with Baby Luke.

And we are still in love.

More than ever.

So is Big Brother.

Can't you tell?

Our settling in process began this week, with the help of grandparents, we are all making it great! We have been eating delicious meals, enjoying wonderful company and loving introducing Baby Luke to his family. What a special time!

So, little Luke, let me introduce you to your family.

Meet the Grandfathers.

This is Pops.
He is a kind-hearted, sensitive, hard-working Christian man that will love you more than anything. He, however, he will always expect your best. Don't give any excuses, because they don't work in his book. Luke, always know that he will be your rock when you need one, and your biggest cheerleader. He learned this from one of the greatest men, your great grandfather, "Pa". He would be nuts over you too!
This is Granddaddy.

He is a very special man who gives more than he takes and is always helping others in any way possible. Watch him closely, he is a wonderful example. He is a very kind, hard-working, sweet Christian man that has never met a stranger in any way shape or form. I hope that his instills his passion for others in you and you, too, will always love, give and be thankful.
Meet the Grandmothers.

This is Mimi.

She is one of a kind, well, second of a kind since your great grandmother was exactly like her. That is where she learned to be so sweet. She unselfishly gives of herself to everyone else, even when it is sometimes not what is best for herself. Her spirit, laugh and loving touch will always make you know what is right in this world. She will take time with you to enjoy the simple things, because that is what matters most. By the way, her love will be never-ending for you...
This is Grammie

The mother of three boys, and two grandsons, but please, never think you are just a number in her book. Even though you are baby boy #5, she will love you like you were the first...beaming with pride at every coo, smile, step and word. The sweetest woman that I have ever met, she loves her family more than anything, and always going above and beyond to show God's love toward you everyday. As her daughter - in -law, I am taking notes on how to be a wonderful mother -in-law one day to your future wife.
Here you are with Mimi, Pop and Layton

And with Grammie and Grandaddy

Meet your Uncles and your Aunt

This is Bryson.

Only 16 years older than you, he is one of the most unique and special individuals I have ever known. With a beaming personality and enormous amounts of musical talents, he never ceases to amaze me at what he can accomplish. Your big brother just adores him and practices playing the piano, singing, and even directing with him...I'm sure you'll do the same. He is the most polite, well-mannered teenager I know and is crazy over you and your big brother.
This is Ross.

As an uncle, there couldn't be someone who is more proud of his nephews. He will definitely brag on you often and smile with pride as you grow and decide who you want to become. Ross is by far the neatest man I know, so I hope that you learn from his amazing organizational skills. Yet, he is a hard worker who is very much a business man. He is cool, calm and collected, and will always give you kisses before he parts ways.

This is Bryan

Or Uncle Stinky as he is sometime called :) I'll explain later. He is mommy's oldest youngest brother, who everyone says that they look alike, especially in pictures. Bryan has a very funny side that is witty and hilarious, but yet has a very quiet and serious side too. You get the best of both worlds with him. He is a sensitive man who loves his family, his wife and his daughter. He is a great example of a young man who loves the Lord and grows closer to him everyday. Oh, yeah, he'll teach you how to shoot a sweet jump shot or throw a mean curve mall. The boy is talented!
This is Danielle

She is your only aunt, thus far. We are patiently waiting for the other three, in due time. But right now, you could not be more blessed to have her as your one and only. Aunt Danielle loves with all of her heart, all the time. She thinks that her nephews hung the moon and can't wait to see you grow up everyday. Her personality is contagious and you will always smile around her, you can't help it. She has a passion for her God and her family. We are lucky to have her in ours.
We have yet to get a picture with Uncle Ross and Uncle Andrew - coming soon! ;)

Meet your only cousin.

Madelyn Joan, 11 weeks older than you, and I can tell already that this is going to be a special relationship. You will go through life together, the same age, the same grade...it will be interesting to see who each of you become. I pray that you grow to love one another as much as we love you.
Lukey Bear, this is your family...how blessed we are to have each one of them in your life.
The Lord has given us more than we deserve, because ultimately we only need Him and Him alone...so it makes it even more amazing that He has given us so much.

"By Him, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
Hebrews 13:15

What a thoughtful, sweet post! So does Luke already have a nickname? Cute! ;) The newborn pics of Luke are adorable by the way. I love the little hat!

Such a sweet post. Looks like Luke fits right in with the Baise and the Richey clans. Layton looks so proud as a big brother!
