This past weekend, our good friends, Nat & Cindy came over to grill out on a beautiful Saturday night. Layton was excited to see Nolan & Nathaniel, he squealed with excitement when they pulled into the driveway.
They ran...

and climbed,
-

and had serious conversations,
-

and then decided to play games!
-

All our boys, with the newest addition, baby Luke!
Something must have been really funny to Nolan & Layton?!?
-

Then, I began thinking about our boys and how they have grown up with each other from birth. It all started with Nathaniel, who I met when he came home from the hospital when we lived next door in our old neighborhood.
Then came the little boys, born only 3 days apart.

The little boys, just 13 months old

The little boys, 2 years & 9 months old - look how they have grown!
(Cindy is holding Layton in both pics and I am holding Nolan)

*p.s. I am really like the lighter, shorter version of my hair in picture #1, thinking about cutting it??!
Nolan & Layton

And a good cookout always ends with a good bath!!
Here at 13 months,

And again at 2 years old,
*and yes I realize they will HATE us for this one day, but it's ok!

The three amigos...

the three amigos, from way back!

I feel so blessed to be journeying through life this girl. She is my sunshine, she is my friend.

And...
we can't wait to meet Kinley Marie,
she will join these sweet boys as their little sister!
Will you join me in praying for my friend and their journey of adoption?
Ms. Kinley has been hand picked by the Lord to join the amazing family, now we wait to see her beautiful face very soon!

So sweet. Cindy is such a sweet girl. We used to work together at Nats a few years back. Would love to get the kiddos together. Sounds like fun~
I am loving your shorter hair too. It was funny that you made that comment, b/c I was thinking it as I looked at the then and now. Go for it!
Praying for your friend and sweet Kinley.
They truly are sweet people and I will remember them in prayer as they await the arrival of their long-awaited daughter.
P.S. Before I read your comment about the hair...I thought, she needs that hair style again!! Go for it, girl!
